OSX 10.5.4 (Leopard) on the Acer Aspire 5051 AWXMI
This howto is more or less a copy of my old one for the acer (10.4.8).....and the updated install howto for Leopard 10.5.2
Download the following file....somewhere...
Leo4all -v4.1 AMD only
Burn the iso file and boot it on your acer aspire
Do not begin to install!
In the taskbar>utilities>diskutility
Select the partition you want to install to (D: in this case)
Erase Free Space (second tab) with Mac OS Extended (1st option) and wait until the erasing is finished.
Now you can begin the install (the disk/partition will have a green arrow)
Since there are so many options on the install dvd I took some pictures of the installed options .....saves writing time and explanes a lot.
....it took three pictures to take the complete list.....(click to enlarge)

After installing this way you should be able to boot the installed partition on your HD.
Not finished as you can see!! ......Cannot change screenresolutions in display settings!
download the following zip:
Drives_For_X200m.zip
In this package are all the drivers needed for the Tiger install (10.4.8)
On the Leopard install 10.5.2 only display, sound and powermanagement where needed.
But in 10.5.4 only the display pack is needed (still no qe,ci but good resolutions are nice to have)
The onboard sound will work....no mic....out of the box now.
I did install the sound pack from the x200m.zip because i prefer the external sound plugs....mic working there!.....after this disabled the onboard sound.
so:
install display-pack....reboot...change settings....then sound-pack (if u like it my way)...reboot.....enjoy
