OSX 10.4.8 (Tiger) on the Acer Aspire 5051 AWXMI

Download the following file....somewhere...

JaS 10.4.8 sse2 sse3 with PPF1 and PPF2.iso

Burn the iso file and boot it on your acer aspire.

Do not begin to install!

In the taskbar>utilities>diskutility
Select the partition you want to install to (D: in this case)
Erase Free Space (second tab) with Mac OS Extended and wait until the erasing is finished.

Now you can begin the install (the disk will have a green arrow)

Select only the standard kernel and the amd part!
After install you should be able to boot the installed partition. (otherwise try the last part of this howto)

Not finished yet as you can see......wrong display settings which you cannot change yet.

Download the following zip:

Drives_For_X200m.zip

Open it in your osx and install in this order (and for sure reboot after each step......when the boot hangs...reset with the powerbutton and wait...booting will work finaly

1. display
2. nic
3. broadcom
4. sound (only external devices will work)
5. powermanagement (not workin ...yet)

Read the instructions in the driverpacket carefully....and get used of working with nano!
All the editing can be done with drag and drop!!!

After all this you would like to dualboot.....do the next thing (also good for bootproblems)

Boot the install dvd again.....in the taskbar on top open the terminal(under utilities!)......and type:

fdisk -u /dev/rdisk0

answer yes on the question "rewrite MBR" and boot again without dvd

By default your mac HD (D:) will boot but you can sellect any other bootpartition with the arrowkey's
